This course is designed for professionals seeking to deepen their understanding and enhance their therapeutic skills in working with survivors of sexual trauma. Participants will explore the neurobiological and psychological impacts of sexual trauma and learn how these effects shape a survivor's experience. Emphasis will be placed on developing core competencies to build safety, trust, and attunement in the therapeutic relationship. Through evidence-based practices, participants will gain tools to support resilience, healing, and post-traumatic growth. The course also provides practical strategies for identifying and managing trauma triggers, while promoting the development of healthy, supportive relationships in survivors’ lives.

Course admission requirements:

Minimum of a Master's Degree in a mental health or related field; or be a student in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. In Low- and Middle-Income Countries, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
