Dissociation 101: The Basics

About This Course
Dissociation is a normal response to overwhelming experiences and is a common capacity in animals. In the context of complex and development trauma, fragmentation of the personality can occur that results in treatment complexity. The course will help clinicians orient themselves to the standard of care required to treat those living with complex trauma and dissociative disorders.
Participants will be able to...
- Identify a standard of care for the treatment of dissociative disorders
- Identify evidence-based approaches to working with dissociative disorders
Continuing Education (CE) hours
2 NBCC CE hours are available for licensed mental health providers. Please check with your licensing board to confirm that NBCC CE hours are accepted.
Integrative Trauma Treatment Center (ITTC) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6912. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Integrative Trauma Treatment Center (ITTC) is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
