Cultural and Ethical Implications of End-of-Life Care
Culture plays a significant role in shaping perspectives and choices in end-of-life care.

About This Course
Clinicians attending this training will learn about cultural beliefs and traditions at end of life and develop skills to support client self-determination. Attention will focus on ethical considerations at end of life and their intersection with cultural values.
Participants will be able to...
- Demonstrate cultural competency in understanding and accepting client cultural end-of-life beliefs.
- Explore ethical considerations in approaching and resolving end of life issues.
- Identify culturally competent practices for clinicians
Course admission requirements:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in a mental health or related field; or be a student in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. In Low- and Middle-Income Countries, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.

2 NBCC CE hours are available for licensed mental health providers. Please check with your licensing board to confirm that NBCC CE hours are accepted.
