Trauma Coaching and Trauma Therapy

A case(s) presentation

Live Webinar: May 13th, 2023

About This Webinar

Therapists have long worked in isolation. The work is extremely rewarding and enriching, however therapists often carry many layers of mental health treatment alone. All other healthcare professionals have support staff to whom they can share the components of their work that other professionals can assume. A Trauma Coach is uniquely poised to increase support to both the therapist and the client. Trauma Coaches can provide supportive bridge appointments when trauma is being processed, provide skill building supports, and accountability check-ins to support clients in behavioral change. Trauma coaches focus on the present and future in order to free up therapists to work through past trauma. Learn how to integrate trauma coaching and trauma therapy as an innovation designed to expand supports, shorten the time and cost associated with therapy, and resultantly increasing access to care for all.

Participants will be able to...

  • Learn how to integrate Trauma Therapy + Trauma Coaching
  • Learn how utilizing both therapy + coaching together can decrease the overarching cost to the client while increasing the amount of support they receive.
  • Learn how Athena + Lexi are working together with shared clients and how coaching can be added to your practice.
  • Learn how to delineate roles designed to maintain scope of practice and safety for the client.
  • Learn how Trauma Coaches can increase support to therapists and clients alike.
