While understanding trauma treatment is crucial, implementing trauma informed care (TIC) philosophies and practices is more crucial.

About This Course
This workshop will provide participants with an overview of what trauma informed care is and key principles for effective implementation of trauma treatment strategies. Participants will examine best practices for ensuring that trauma interventions are safe and ethical.
Participants will be able to...
- Develop an understanding of trauma informed care philosophy and core tenets.
- Identify strategies for evaluating appropriate clinical trauma interventions.
- Apply TIC tenets to clinical populations and case scenarios.
Course admission requirements:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in a mental health or related field; or be a student in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. In Low- and Middle-Income Countries, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.

2 NBCC CE hours are available for licensed mental health providers. Please check with your licensing board to confirm that NBCC CE hours are accepted.
